A report that arrives like a piece of mail.

2020 Annual Report

Role

Concept | Art Direction | Layout | Illustration System | Infographic Design

Concept

Rather than the typical bound booklet, I reimagined the piece as a four-panel mailer that unfolds, giving the report a sense of discovery instead of just being flipped through. I developed an organic, blob-shaped visual system, adapted from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's brand guidelines, to convey the energy and movement of kids in the program, using it to frame photography, cut copy blocks, and organize the data visualizations. I designed and built the infographics and donut chart from raw stats provided by the Grants Manager, who also supplied the written content and photography, working closely with her to make sure the data told a clear, human story rather than just displaying numbers.

Collaboration
I worked directly with the organization's Grants Manager, who provided the copy, photography, and program statistics used throughout the piece. I was responsible for the visual concept, layout, custom infographics built from the data she supplied, and the illustration system tying it all together.
